Every company has a beginning, and Texas Fine Homes is no different. Our story got its start in 2004, when David Stone set out to carve his own path as a home builder in Houston. David, whose time in the industry began in 1991, was already known among area builders and architects for his quality work and attention to detail. When he opened the doors of what was then called Texas Fine Home Builders — a company focused on remodel work — clients and colleagues took notice.
As the years progressed and the business grew, so did the company’s services. In 2015, David founded Texas Fine Home Services, a sub-company specializing in maintenance work. With the company’s most recent addition, new home construction, Texas Fine Homes became the trusted industry partner you know. Whether within the Houston metroplex or in areas such as Washington County, Colorado County, Fayette County and beyond, we remain committed to changing the landscape one dream home at a time.
Texas Fine Homes ensures your project is always fully protected. We carry general liability insurance, workers compensation and auto insurance, and also offer builders risk coverage. We require that all of our subcontractors be insured — either by maintaining certificates of insurance or purchasing insurance through our company.
President and Owner
David Stone has a long and trusted history preserving, remodeling and now constructing some of the Houston area’s most beautiful custom homes. David obtained his bachelor’s degree in human environmental sciences from the University of Arkansas and, in 1991, entered the building industry with design and retail work in 1991. Seven years later, he went to work with Renaissance Builders, Inc., where he served as a superintendent. As time progressed and he honed his craft, David moved on to partner with Renaissance’s owner and form Renaissance Services, LLP. It was there he remained until founding Texas Fine Homes in 2004. Today, his work stands proudly throughout Houston neighborhoods such as River Oaks, Tanglewood, Memorial and West University, as well as Round Top and other cities west of Houston.
